Edinburgh have announced that experienced front-row Darryl Marfo has been released from his contract at the PRO14 club with immediate effect.

The move comes following a period in which Marfo has seen limited playing time and the decision is aimed at allowing the the 29-year-old to find a new club.

Scotland international Marfo made 11 appearances for the Scottish capital side after joining from Bath in the summer of 2017, with his three international starts coming during the 2017 November Tests.

On Marfo leaving the club, Edinburgh head coach Richard Cockerill said: “We thank Darryl for his hard work during his time at the club and we wish him all the best moving forward.”
