Duncan Taylor: Scotland international centre signs one-year extension at Premiership giants Saracens
Scotland international centre Duncan Taylor has inked a new contract with the club, keeping him at StoneX Stadium for the upcoming season.
Taylor recently ran out for his 150th match for Saracens and has been with them for over a decade, proving to be a reliable performer in the black shirt.
He’s also won 28 caps for Scotland and played at the 2019 Rugby World Cup, with Premiership fans set to see him in a Saracens shirt again in 2022/23.
Alongside the likes of Nick Tompkins, Elliot Daly and Owen Farrell, Taylor is excited about staying at the club and wants to impress in the coming term.
Special place
“I’m delighted to be staying. This club is a special place and I can’t wait to get going again for what is a hugely exciting season,” the Scotland centre said.
Meanwhile, Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall revealed he was pleased the reliable Scotland midfielder would be at his disposal this campaign.
“Duncan is a hugely respected member of our group and is a wonderful ambassador for this club. He continues to be a central part of our squad and we are delighted that he will be with us for another year,” said McCall about the new contract.
Saracens have a bye week on the opening weekend of the Premiership season and therefore kick off their campaign on September 17 against Harlequins.
McCall’s outfit finished last season in second spot on the table after the regular-season before progressing to the final where they went down to Leicester.
