Scotland have received a major attacking boost with Rory Lamont and Simon Webster recalled to their Six Nations squad for the match against Ireland this Saturday.
Full-back Lamont is back in the 25-man party after missing the defeat to Wales because of ankle and shoulder injuries, while wing Webster returns from a hamstring problem.
The team for the clash in Dublin will be announced by head coach Frank Hadden on Tuesday.
The squad trained on Monday afternoon at Murrayfield with four players missing out on the practice session.
Chris Paterson and Jim Hamilton were rested after starting for their respective clubs Gloucester and Leicester in Guinness Premiership matches on Sunday.
Meanwhile, Jason White continues to make progress from the head knock he sustained against Wales but was not yet ready to resume contact training.
Fellow forward John Barclay was also sidelined having injured his hand at the weekend. The medical team expect Barclay to resume training on Tuesday.
