Double boost for Clermont

Clermont have been handed a major boost after scrum-half Morgan Parra and centre Rémi Lamerat were declared fit to face Saracens.

Head coach Franck Azéma spoke on Monday ahead of the weekend’s Champions Cup final and announced the positive news for their fans.

“Morgan, Rémi, it’s okay,” Azéma told AFP ahead of the Murrayfield clash.

Parra (thigh) and Lamerat (knee knock) will be crucial to Clermont’s chances of upsetting Saracens, with Azéma excited ahead of Saturday.

“We all know we have to stay measured until Saturday, we need to master the beginning of the week, focus on what we will do on Saturday,” he said.

“We’ve a bit of experience of that. We’re going to try and manage this desire to deliver a great match.”
