Fabien Galthie has announced his France squad for the upcoming Six Nations with Damian Penaud’s return the headline selection.
Penaud struggled with injury in 2020 and missed the Autumn Nations Cup, but has recovered to earn an immediate recall to the 37-man group.
There are three uncapped players in the form of Donovan Taofifenua, Julien Delbouis and Georges-Henri Colombe, while Romain Ntamack, Demba Bamba and Cameron Woki miss out due to injury.
Taofifenua has impressed for Racing 92 this season, scoring eight tries in 11 appearances, while another youngster, Delbouis, has consistently shone since making his Stade Francais debut as a teenager in 2018.
Elsewhere, there are few surprises as Les Bleus aim to build on an impressive 2020 where they finished second to England in both the Six Nations and Autumn Nations Cup.
They start their campaign against Italy at the Stadio Olimpico and have tough away games against England and Ireland, but face Scotland and Wales at home.
