Star Lions wing Courtnall Skosan will remain with the franchise until at least the end of 2021 after signing a new two-year contract at the Johannesburg-based outfit.

Skosan has played 72 Super Rugby matches for the team since joining in 2014, scoring 33 tries, and is a boost for a side that has struggled to retain players over the past few seasons.

Franco Mostert, Jaco Kriel, Ruan Ackermann, Faf de Klerk and Rohan Janse van Rensburg are among those to depart in recent years.

That contributed to their poor campaign in 2019 where they finished outside the play-off places having reached the previous three finals.

However, with Malcolm Marx re-signing recently and negotiations ongoing with Kwagga Smith and Elton Jantjies, they may have slightly more stability following the World Cup.
