Clark turns down Wales

Bath centre Max Clark has apparently turned down a call-up to join the Wales squad for the June overseas tour.

According to WalesOnline, Clark turned down an approach from interim Wales boss Robin McBryde having impressed for Bath when available this season.

The 21-year-old, was born in Bridgend and whose mother is Welsh, is understood to be holding out hope for selection with England in the future.

The move makes sense given Clark is a former England U20 back, who was brought up in England and has impressed as a hard-running option in Bath's midfield alongside England and Lions centre Jonathan Joseph.
