The Chiefs have suffered a setback after All Blacks flanker Luke Jacobson was ruled out of the remainder of the Super Rugby Aotearoa season.
Jacobson, 23, sustained a fractured metacarpal against the in-form Blues last Saturday as the Chiefs went down to a 24-12 loss in Hamilton.
The rehabilitation period is approximately five to six weeks, leading to Jacobson’s unavailability for the remainder of the 2020 competition.
Jacobson made his All Blacks debut in July 2019, coming on as a replacement in the team’s 20-16 Rugby Championship win over Argentina.
Warren Gatland’s outfit have lost their opening two games of Super Rugby Aotearoa and tackle the Crusaders in Christchurch this weekend.
All the best for your recovery Luke! pic.twitter.com/54kJ3lN2CX
