The Cheetahs have snapped up former Springbok fly-half Chris Roussouw, bringing him back from France for this year's Currie Cup.

The Cheetahs have snapped up former Springbok fly-half Chris Roussouw, bringing him back from France for this year's Currie Cup.

Roussouw departed for Toulon two years ago when the big-spending French team was still in France's Top 14, but has since slipped off the radar until Naka Drotské on Thursday confirmed to a local radio station that Rossouw was on his way to Bloemfontein and will arrive on June 9.

The Cheetahs have struggled since the departure of Willem de Waal to Narbonne last year, but now have four fly-halves to call upon if need be: Rossouw, Jacques-Louis Potgieter, Tewis de Bruyn and Sias Ebersohn.
