England have named Brad Shields on the blindside flank for their second Test against South Africa at the Free State Stadium on Saturday.
There are two changes to the starting XV that played on Saturday with Shields making his first England start at six and Joe Launchbury coming in for Nick Isiekwe, having recovered from his calf injury.
Cipriani is named as a replacement ahead of Piers Francis on the bench. Cipriani’s last cap for England came against France ahead of the Rugby World Cup in 2015.
“We have come here to win the series against South Africa and the squad is ready to go out and beat them this weekend,” said head coach Eddie Jones.
“We have had a very good preparation this week and the intensity and executions in those sessions are going to put us in a good position for Saturday.”
England lost the first match of the three-Test series against South Africa in Johannesburg 42-39 on Saturday. Their final match is in Cape Town (23 June).
