Brad Barritt to go under the knife

Saracens have announced that their captain, Brad Barritt, will have an operation on a facial injury sustained in Saturday’s match with Bath.

The centre was forced off in the first half of Sarries’ 50-27 Premiership triumph at Allianz Park after catching a boot to the face in a tackle.

He saw a consultant following the game to discover the extent of the damage and will have surgery this week, ruling him out of the Harlequins match.
