Blair on the operating table
Scotland's Mike Blair went straight for an operation after returning home from the tour of Argentina.
Scotland captain Mike Blair arrived home from the tour of Argentina on Wednesday lunchtime and went straight for an operation.
The 27-year-old Edinburgh scrum-half required surgery on a minor rib problem.
The rib complaint proved an irritation but did not affect his performance on the drawn two-Test tour against the Pumas.
Writing in his blog, on www.scottishrugby.org, Blair said the problem was “nothing drastic, just a bit uncomfortable when I sleep on it”.
Describing the prospect of the operation, he added: “Apparently it will feel like I've been punched in the guts afterwards and I'll be taking it easy for a couple of weeks.”
