Australia-born Isaac appeared on Sky Sports to state his case, owning up to a lack of discipline in his side's performance, but saying that it was difficult not to be indisciplined under the officials for Saturday's game.

The penalty count against Biarritz was 18-7, a phenomenally high figure for a first-class match.

” We were certainly missing some discipline from our display,” said Isaac.

“And there were things we didn't do well in terms of execution.

“But we want to say, here, that we are very very disappointed with the officiating of today's game.

“We felt there were a lot of things noticed on our side, which didn't get noticed on theirs. We saw a lot of inconsistency out there in regard to many things.

“So I will repeat, we are very disappointed with the officiating of this match and we feel it cost us a bonus point today.”
