Parkes training with All Blacks
New Zealand have called on the services of Wales-based Kiwi Hadleigh Parkes after they suffered a number of injuries in the build-up to Friday's clash with Georgia.
Backs Ma'a Nonu (shoulder), Colin Slade (hamstring) and Beauden Barrett (whiplash) have joined loose forward Liam Messam on the sidelines, leaving Steve Hansen's side a little short of numbers.
As such, Parkes, who plays for Welsh outfit the Scarlets was brought into the All Blacks squad for training purposes, with tournament rules allowing for locally-based players to train with teams.
The absence of Slade and Barrett for the fixture against Georgia means that scrum-half TJ Perenara will provide cover for fly-half Dan Carter and will also be the All Blacks' back-up goal-kicker.
27-year-old Parkes has played at Super Rugby level for the Blues and Hurricanes in New Zealand as well as the Kings in South Africa.
