Sale Director of Rugby, Phillipe Saint Andre, was also overjoyed to have signed the dynamic youngster, who he has long admired.

“I am pleased that Luke is joining Sale Sharks. He is a very good, young English player who I have been impressed with when he has played against us,” he explained.

“I am sure he will be a very good addition to my squad for next season.”
