Scarlets claimed a 22-9 victory at Murrayfield on Friday to leave Edinburgh rooted to the bottom of the Pro12 standings.
A stunning solo try from Jordan Williams sent the Scarlets on their way to a thoroughly deserved win over a poor Edinburgh outfit.
Nick Reynolds and captain Jonathan Davies also crossed over for the Welsh outfit who inflicted a third defeat of the season on an out-of-sorts Edinburgh side.
Fly-half Harry Leonard kicked three penalties for the hosts, who struggled to deal with the Welsh side's impressive back line.
The Murrayfield crowd were subjected to a kicking fest in the opening quarter as Leonard and Rhys Priestland traded kicks early on.
The Scarlets were struggling to get up to speed at the breakdown and referee David Wilkinson sent lock Jake Ball to the sin-bin after 23 minutes for an infringement.
Edinburgh made use of their man advantage as fly-half Leonard kicked the first points of the evening as the clock ticked towards the half hour mark.
But minutes after going behind, Scarlets were back on level terms as Welsh international Priestland kicked three points as the home side were punished for not releasing at the tackle area.
Back up to full compliment with Ball back on the field, winger Reynolds, who scored in his side's away victory over the Scots last season, gave the Scarlets the lead with a try on the touchline.
Priestland added the conversion from a tight angle but with the last play of the half, Leonard reduced Llanelli's lead to four points with a penalty kick.
Edinburgh impressed in the early stages of the second half and they reduced the deficit to a point as Leonard kicked his third penalty as former Glasgow forward John Barclay was yellow carded.
But once again the Scarlets scored while being a man down, this time with an individual piece of brilliance from Williams who jinked through the Edinburgh defence to touch down in the 47th minute.
Simon Easterby's side battled for the killer try, with Welsh international Davies coming close, but Edinburgh defended resolutely, putting in a number of last-ditch tackles.
But the Scarlets eventually sealed the win in the final 10 minutes as Davies gathered Priestland's cross-field kick to score his side's third try of the evening.
The fly-half put the gloss on the victory with the conversion to secure a second league win of the season for the Scarlets.
