SKY_MOBILE Allan Jacobsen - Edinburgh training

Retiring: Allan Jacobsen

Record appearance holder Allan Jacobsen will start his last match in a 16-year Edinburgh rugby career against the Dragons at Murrayfield.

Scotland's most capped prop, known throughout the game as 'Chunk', ended a 65-cap international career in November and will retire after 285 club appearances, versus the team whom he marked his double century against in 2008.

"It's a massive day for Chunk, he's Edinburgh through and through, and played a record number of games," said interim Edinburgh Rugby assistant coach, Duncan Hodge.

"It'll be an emotional day for him, but it comes to us all and it's been business as usual for the team.

"This is a must win game as we need continue to raise our levels of performance and put down some building blocks for next season.

"We're playing a tough side with some very experienced players but we're in front of our home crowd in the last game of the season and you've just got to win those games."

The club have named just two changes to the startling line-up that faced Treviso in the previous round, with the return of double award winner, Greig Tonks (Player and Players' Player of the season) and prop Willem Nel (Best Newcomer) a welcome boost to the side seeking to end the season on a high.

The only other change is to the bench, which sees Dundee High FP back-row, Richie McIver, handed the chance to make his first professional appearance since being invited to train with the squad last month.

Form: Edinburgh Rugby have slipped to successive defeats in the RaboDirect PRO12, to Connacht and Treviso, whilst they have won just one of their last six fixtures at Murrayfield in all competitions. Dragons' 30-24 victory over Munster last time out ended a four match losing run in the competition. The Dragons have not won back to back fixtures in the PRO12 since March 2012. The Men from Gwent's only away win this season in the tournament came on a visit to Zebre in February. Edinburgh's only victory over the Dragons in their last seven meetings was 22-15 at Murrayfield on 22 April 2011.

The teams:

Edinburgh: 15 Greig Tonks, 14 Dougie Fife, 13 Nick de Luca, 12 Matt Scott, 11 Tim Visser, 10 Harry Leonard, 9 Greig Laidlaw (c), 8 Netani Talei, 7 Hamish Watson, 6 Stuart McInally, 5 Grant Gilchrist, 4 Sean Cox, 3 Willem Nel, 2 Ross Ford, 1 Allan Jacobsen.
