Promoted: Danny Cipriani

Sale Sharks have promoted Danny Cipriani to their starting line-up for Sunday's Heineken Cup clash with Montpellier at Stade Yves du Manoir.

Cipriani takes over from Nick Macleod at 10.

The XV shows eight changes, one positional, from the side that started against Cardiff Blues last Sunday as Sam Tuitupou and Richie Gray are unavailable through injury, whilst Tom Brady returns on the right wing after suspension, allowing Mark Jennings to switch to centre.

"We gained a lot of confidence from the last twenty five minutes last weekend, but not many teams go to France and win against the top six, no matter how well you've been playing," said Sharks' Director of Rugby Bryan Redpath on Friday.

"It's a hugely challenging task for us, but one to which we're looking forward. We need to maintain that level of performance and accuracy for longer. There was a fifteen minute spell against Cardiff where we conceded three tries last Sunday, which nearly ruined a lot of things for us. We're looking to push on and be better this weekend."

Meanwhile, Montpellier have named their strongest available line-up as they look to bounce back from last week's defeat to Toulon.

Mamuka Gorgodze and Fulgence Ouedraogo come in on the flanks while Agustin Creevy starts at hooker alongside prop Juan Figallo.

The French side also names a new centre pairing of Timoci Nagusa and Shontayne Hape outside half-backs Julien Tomas and Francois Trinh-Duc.
