Three tries: Hugo Southwell

Wasps made it two wins from the two in this season's Amlin Challenge Cup after breezing past Pool 3 strugglers Rovigo 38-7 at Adams Park on Sunday.

It was the former champions' second bonus-point win in as many games as Scotland international Hugo Southwell starred with a hat-trick of tries. Prop Zak Taulafo and pacey right wing Richard Haughton got the other two for the English.

However, the Aviva Premiership outfit did not have it all their own way in Wycombe as it was their visitors who had an early 3-7 lead when wing Ricardo Pavan went in after six minutes. Davide Duca added the extras before Wasps woke up.

Southwell crossed for two converted tries in a twelve-minute spell and then with just seven minutes gone in the second-half, the former Stade Francais man completed his treble before Taulafo and Haughton rounded off matters.

Agen 8-29 Brive

Brive backed up their opening round win over Sale Sharks by recording a 29-8 win on the road at Agen, dominating the side sitting two spots above them in the Top 14 on Sunday.

Their three five-pointers came via wing Mathias Atayi, hooker Louis Acosta and a penalty try while Mathieu Belie added four penalties. Benjamin Caminati kicked the late conversion.

Brive's four points pushes them three points clear of the Sharks at the Pool 5 summit. They will face a double-header against Rugby Club La Vila when action resumes in December.
