Lock Jocelino Suta and winger David Smith both scored braces as Toulon made light work of Stade Français at Stade Félix-Mayol on Saturday.
Bernard Laporte's men got off to the perfect start when Suta crashed over for a five-pointer in the opening minute of the game and the hosts never looked back.
Indeed, they were ruthless.
Smith opened his account in the fifteenth minute before Suta added his second just before the half hour mark. Not to be outdone, the former Western Force flyer completed his brace before the half-time break.
With all the carnage at one end, one would be forgiven for missing a five-pointer from Stade full-back Alexander Rokobaro.
At the conclusion of the first forty, the score was 24-5 to the hosts and Michael Cheika's men needed a miracle to turn things around.
While Toulon let up in the second half, that miracle never came.
Toulon full-back Luke Rooney notched up the men in red and black's fifth try while the visitors only response came through a penalty from the boot of Jerome Fillol.
The final score of 34-8 was a fair reflection of the game with Toulon dominant throughout.
The victory sees Toulon move up to fifth in the Top 14 standings while Stade slip to eighth.
