Joubert: Two tries

Saracens ran in six tries as they hammered Leicester 50-25 in an Aviva Premiership clash at Welford Road on Saturday.

Last year's finalists continued their epic battle and it was once again the men in black who came up on top. However, while they edged the Tigers 22 -18 last time out, this time around Steve Borthwick's men ran rampant.

Three penalties in the first quarter from Charlie Hodgson gave Saracens an early lead, with Billy Twelvetrees also getting Leicester off the mark with the boot.

The first try of the game, like the first point, was scored by Hodgson. The score came following a fine passing move by the visitors.

Twelvetress temporarily cut the visitors' lead with a penalty but Saracens soon added a second try when Ernst Joubert showed great pace to leave the Tigers defence flailing.

Leicester did manage to give themselves some hope of getting back into the contest before half-time with an unconverted try from Niall Morris, making it 11-23 at the interval.

The second half would begin and end at a frantic pace, with 26 points scored before the hour mark, and a further 17 added in the final ten. Unfortunately for the hosts, the lion's share were scored by Saracens.

Owen Farrell and Jamie George both scored tries to give the visitors a comfortable lead, before Julian Salvi was able to stem the tide temporarily with a five-pointer for Leicester.

But Joubert's second on 55 minutes gave Saracens 22-point lead, which they held until the final five minutes when Brad Barritt piled on further misery with another try for the visitors.

Ben Woods scored a late consolation for Leicester but it was Sarries' day, and Farrell brought up the half-century with a last-minute penalty
