A hat-trick of tries from young English wing sensation Christian Wade helped Wasps to their second straight victory of the Aviva Premiership season on Sunday, a 35-29 win over Leicester.
Leicester took an early advantage through a Billy Twelvetrees penalty, but Nicky Robinson quickly kicked Wasps level after a scrum infringement.
Twelvetrees then edged Tigers back in front with another penalty on 14 minutes, and extended the visitors' lead when Niall Morris stepped on the gas to lay on a try for his kicking team-mate.
Minutes later a Wade break created an overlap out wide for Nic Berry to score, and Robinson's conversion took Wasps to within three.
Then, on 32 minutes, it was Wade's turn to finish a move after lock Marco Wentzel had created the try-scoring opportunity. Robinson was again on target with the boot and Wasps held a 17-13 lead.
But there was yet more drama to come before half-time, when Twelvetrees added a second try and booted over his 20th point of the day to make it 17-20 to Leicester at the interval.
Twelvetrees began the second half in similar style with a penalty to extend the lead, before Wade danced through the defence to break from his own half and score on 48 minutes.
Two Ryan Davis penalties, and Twelvetrees' fourth successful kick of the afternoon made it 28-26 to Wasps, before Wade's hat-trick try and Davis' conversion put nine points between the two sides. Twelvetrees kicked a late penalty but it was too little, too late for Leicester.
