The tries continued to flooded in and, in the second half, the Cheetahs scored a further six while the Leopards scored two.

Two first half tries by Free State prop Coenie Oosthuizen and another by number eight Boom Prinsloo sent the visiting side into the break with a 24-3 lead.

The Cheetahs started the second half by scoring two tries in nine minutes, with the Cheetahs prop Marcel van der Merwe crossing the line.
