Waikato grabbed their second win of the ITM Cup season on Friday with a crushing 35-6 victory over Tasman in Hamilton.
In wet conditions at Waikato Stadium, the home got their season back on track in convincing fashion as they bounced back from Tuesday's loss to Bay of Plenty.
After leading 13-6 at half time, the Mooloos bagged a bonus point thanks to tries from full-back Tim Mikkelson, wing Declan O'Donnell, and replacements Rory Grice and Ted Tauroa.
Fly-half Trent Renata also chipped in with a solid performance, contributing 15 points with the boot.
The Makos rarely looked like crossing the whitewash and are left rooted to the foot of the championship table having yet to earn a point.
