Toulouse beat Perpignan 25-24 at the Stade Aime Giral to cement their place at the top of the Top 14 standings.
Both sides bagged two tries, but the battle of the boot proved to be the difference between the teams as Perpignan full-back Jerome Porical missed a chance to win the match at full-time.
Toulouse led 14-13 at half-time thanks to an intercept try to flanker Jean Bouilhou and successful kicks at goal by scrum-half Frederic Michalak and fly-half David Skrela.
Porical kept the hosts in touching distance with two penalty goals, before hooker Guilhem Guirado powered over before the break.
Perpignan winger Adrien Plante crossed for the Catalans after half-time which gave USAP the lead early in the second half. But Skrela chipped away at Perpignan's lead before replacement flank Yannick Nyanga crossed over for a crucial try for Toulouse.
Porical slotted his fourth penalty - adding 14 points in all - before the end but it proved only enough for a losing bonus point.
