Treviso will be hoping that Magners League history repeats itself when they face the Scarlets at Stadio Comunale di Monigo on Saturday.

The Italians beat the Welsh outfit in Round One of this season's league competition in a result that sent shock-waves through Britain and Ireland.

But that form has not continued and it is the Scarlets who are looking good at the moment. Themselves and Perpignan are both on 10 points and Leicester on 11 - with all three sides having won 2 from 3 games so far. The Scarlets know that a win would put them in a strong position but appreciate the Italians will be tough at home.

Team news sees the Scarlets without internationals Stephen Jones, Matthew Rees and David Lyons, who are out injured, however Nigel Davies says that was not a big concern for him as his squad have shown they are ready and able to step up.

"I am optimistic because the boys that are coming through are really stepping up to the mark for us, Ben Morgan has been outstanding at no8, Rhys (Priestland) is going well at 10 for us and has done all season in Steve's (Jones) absense and we have a very strong hooker in Ken Owens as we have seen last season and this," said the Head Coach.

"I've said that building strength in depth in this group is what we needed and to an extent we've got that now and these boys are showing great commitment and enthusiasm for the shirt. I'm really comfortable with how this group is performing and our starting line up for Saturday."
