Harlequins ran eight tries past Cavalieri on Saturday to top Pool One after Connacht edged out Bayonne on Friday.
Tom Williams opened the scoring before the Quins raced ahead thanks to tries from Ross Chisholm, George Lowe and a penalty try.
Chisholm struck with his second try early in the second half but Cavalieri hit back when Denis Majstorovic touched down.
Williams scored two more tries to bring up his hat-trick while Sam Smith joined him on the scorecard.
Ed Lewis-Pratt scored a late consolation for Cavalieri but it was not enough to overcome Quins' commanding lead.

Connacht overcame Bayonne 16-13 in a gritty encounter at the Sportsground on Friday.

The victory has also done Harlequins a favour in the context of how things stand after two rounds.

Sean Cronin and Gavin Duffy scored in either half but a score from replacement hooker David Roumieu, converted by Jean-Baptiste Peyras, set up a nail-biting climax in Galway.

But Connacht held on for a much-needed four points ahead of the European break.
