Struggling Biarritz managed their second Heineken Cup win of this season over Calvisano on Saturday, a 23-15 victory in Italy in one of the round's dead rubbers.

Biarritz's tries both came in the second half, and both from forwards. Lock Cesar Damiani scored the first just after half-time and prop Benoit August the second just before the hour mark.

That first will have come as some relief to the Basques, who trailed 12-9 at the break after Dimitri Yachvili had kicked three penalties to Gerard fraser's four.

But Damiani's score put the French giants back in front and the Italians lacked the penetration to threaten further.
