Biscuits for Quotes of the Year

Ah yes, the biscuit episode

It's been an eventful year in rugby, but how much of it do you remember? Here are some of the verbal pearlers.

See if you can match mutterings to mouths. Scroll to the foot of the page to find out who said what. There are some real biscuits, I mean crackers.

"I'm not afraid of fighting back or proving people wrong but there comes a stage when you have to listen and trust in the experts."

 "Three cheers for Sireli Bobo."

"Why did the RFU provide the biscuits if they were not to be eaten?"

'I'll tune in and cheer him on. The kids love the show and will want to see how Daddy is doing."

"There's an issue with the visa from the English side, but that's not to say it probably couldn't have been done a couple of months ago. I won't get into that at this stage. We've been told he's not far off and will be here next week."

"I never thought I would get to these highs (points). It is something that is pretty special, a real achievement, and I give a lot of tributes to my team-mates for giving me the opportunities to get so many points."

"I actually sold all my cars before I came out here so I've just got a club car which is a Volkswagon Golf but I'm trying to get another car. I had a nice Range Rover before I came out and a Ferrari."

''Without the risk factor I'd be bored. Where's the fun in life without the risk? It's what gets my adrenalin going. I don't like sitting back and taking easy options."

If the Kings are a part of my rugby future, any decision to go there will be for the right reason - and that would be my belief that I can make a difference to people that extends beyond playing rugby."

"I want to thank everyone who's helped me during what has been a challenging time, particularly family and close friends."

"I know the other major rugby nations take us seriously as opponents who can play excellent rugby and that inspires me to help take this group of players even further."

"I can't take all the credit for it but it's an awesome honour to win this award. The whole team performance was fantastic, everyone has put 100 per cent in and it showed out there today,"

"He's as slippy as a baggy up a Border burn is little Bryan Redpath there."

"If I wanted to I could have gone on and played in the Premiership. I know I am going to be a marked man and I am sure the opposition will be looking to see if they can put a big shot on me. That is all part of the game."

"We do have a World Cup in New Zealand next year, and maybe it was the right thing for them to win the games so they can attract more people to the games next year."

"The players and doctor involved could both face sanctions,"

"We definitely can win - it's obvious we've improved over the length of the tournament."

"I cannot help wondering where the Springboks would be today if I had had the same chance as Graham Henry to stay on."

"I had an infection on my pubic bone. It didn't become clear for six weeks and by then the infection had taken root, so I had to go on IV antibiotics. That took a long time and it took a lot out of me."

"It's high enough, it's long enough and it's straight enough!!"
