Stade Franšais moved up to second in the Top 14 after beating Grenoble 21-6 at Stade Jean Bouin on Friday.

Stade maintained their fine record this season at their Jean-Bouin ground to move to within one point of Clermont, who play on Saturday.

Gonzalo Quesada's side, runaway 23-0 winners over Heineken Cup champions Toulon before the break for European action, reduced Grenoble to bit-part players, the visitors only managing a brace of penalties from scrum-half James Hart.

Stade however only led 8-3 at the break thanks to a score from Geoffrey Doumayrou on 25 minutes.

The Paris side had to wait until the 69th minute for their second try from Meyer Bosman, with fellow South African Morne Steyn converting.

Steyn added three penalties in a game in which Stade fluffed a number of opportunities.
