Scotland needs more players moving out of Scotland to gain experience and improve. With only 2 Pro teams there isn't enough competition or game time for all the senior players. Better that they go elsewhere and let the younger players get some game time.

What on earth happened to Beattie Jr? The term out-of-favour seems to apply because even a dip in form should have been managed by the Scotland coaching team and he'd be our resident 8 with Denton at 6 where he should be. I despair sometimes, Taylor, Hogg now Beattie. Hope I'm wrong and we see him in national colours again but it doesn't look great.

And Scotland wonders why it is losing ground on the world stage. All of their best players are heading to France or making themselves unavailable for international selection. I fear a drop in the world rankings similar to the one they suffered in football which would be a shame for both themselves and the Lions.
