Morgan Parra Fra v SA 2013

Banned: Morgan Parra

Clermont and France scrum-half Morgan Parra has been banned for two weeks for a headbutt during a Top 14 clash.

Parra took exception to a heavy tackle from Montpellier's Rene Ranger, and appeared to strike the All Black cap with his head.

A two-week suspension means Parra, who was called up to the French squad for Round Four of the Six Nations, misses his side's clash with Scotland at Murrayfield on Saturday 8th March.

"Morgan Parra is suspended for two consecutive matches on the grounds of 'excitability'," the LNR said in a statement.

Parra will serve the first match of his suspension on Saturday when Clermont visit Bordeaux-Begles and the second the following weekend when France face Scotland.
