BEN SMITH HAT-TRICK AUSTRALIA V NEW ZEALAND RUGBY CHAMPIONSHIP

Try machine: Ben Smith

It's time for us to put our heads on the block and give you Planet Rugby's calls for where the smart money lies this weekend.

The Heineken Cup returns for Round 2 with another series of thrilling fixtures in prospect, whilst New Zealand also host Australia in Dunedin in the final Bledisloe Cup match this year.

With that in mind, read on for our best advice on betting this weekend.

Let's get started...

New Zealand v Australia

Such has been New Zealand's dominance in 2013 that the Wallabies are priced at 11/2 to defeat the world champions in Dunedin.

An unlikely win for Australia by more than 13 points is priced at 20/1, with a Wallaby half-time lead between 8-14 points at 11/1.

Should New Zealand come from behind to win after trailing at half-time the price is 13/2, whilst a first try scorer bet for the in-form Ben Smith can be found at 11/1.

Israel Folau on the opposite side is priced at 14/1 to be the first try scorer, and at 35/1 to replicate his hat-trick against Argentina.

An Australia try as the first score of the match is at 10/1 and to be honest the Wallabies will need it against an impressive All Blacks group.

Prediction: New Zealand by 15.

Heineken Cup

Saracens v Toulouse: Friday's showpiece at Wembley sees Saracens listed as favourites, with a Toulouse win by 1-12 points at 2/1 and 13 points or more at 9/1.

Toulouse to win after trailing at the interval is at 8/1, with a winning margin for the French visitors between 11-15 points down at 12/1.

England's Chris Ashton is an 8/1 first try scorer bet worth considering with Paddy Power, as Saracens look to impress in front of a crowd of over 50,000 at Wembley.

Prediction: Saracens by six.

Cardiff Blues v Toulon:

Heavily criticised after their first-half performance against Exeter Chiefs, little is expected of the Blues at home to European champions Toulon.

A Cardiff lead at half-time between 1-7 points is available at 7/2, with a win by 1-12 points at 4/1.

Should the Welsh side get the jump on the visitors from the start to leave them trailing at the break before a Toulon victory, then the price is 6/1.

Prediction: Toulon by 12.

Leinster v Castres:

Despite boasting a powerful pack and the boot of Rory Kockott, Castres are 13/2 outsiders to win in Dublin against three-time champions Leinster.

A winning margin of more than 13 points for Castres is down at 25/1, a tempting price given Leinster's struggles at times against the Ospreys last week before sealing the result in the second half.

A Castres try as the first score of the match is down at 10/1, but it's difficult to see Leinster letting this one slip.

Prediction: Leinster by five.

Munster v Gloucester:

Having changed 12 of their starting XV from last week's win over Perpignan at Kingsholm, little is expected of Gloucester away to Munster on Saturday - hence their price at 6/1.

A lead at half-time though for the Cherry and Whites between 1-7 points is on offer at 4/1, with an ultimate winning margin of 6-10 points at 14/1.

This fixture has an element of spice to it, so the bet on a red card at 18/1 is also worth thinking about. Munster though should have too much class at home, despite losing to Edinburgh last weekend.

Prediction: Munster by nine.
