Please let him play, yes good but great no way. That's an insult to the real greats of rugby.

He cannot tackle and when he does it's normally a shoulder charge not a tackle. Let him play he has never been tested at int level. I would much rather have him in NZ team than Conrad Smith who is a GREAT PLAYER.

Trader2 - or we could believe Steve Tew, head of NZRU? He says: "I wouldn't rule it out, because he is still eligible and contracted to New Zealand, but that's a matter for the selectors." and ¿He is not definitely unavailable¿

I have no problems if he got selected for one or two more games before he left. Hes the form midfielder atm and with Smith injured I would rather have an experienced player like Sbw over a rookie or Ellison against aussie. We can blood in some new midfielders on end of year tour.

I'm not sure if he is still good for 'bums on seats' in NZ any more. He is getting his fair share of adverse publicity here atm, and truth be told many NZ'rs like myself are sick of hearing about him.

Saying that though the AB's would be crazy to cut off their nose despite their face, with Smith out out we are looking thin in Mid-field.

If he's the best option then pick him. Simple.

Well I don't see why he should be overlooked in the first place.

Yes he's leaving NZ Rugby but given the fact that he has played this "current season" in NZ, I think he should be eligible for the AB's for this "current season" regardless of his future plans.

Remember SBW was thinking about leaving after the WC, they should be thankful that he signed on for another season in the first place. On the business side of things I'm sure he'd be worth a few bums on seats & jersey sales etc.

I'm not trying to make him sound bigger than he is.... I just think it would be unfair to any player that commited to NZ Rugby for the season.

Won't happen (although no objection from me). Have checked my sources in NZ (and they hated being woken up at 1:00 am,) seems as though the"reporter" was having dream. If he was an Oz reporter it would have been a nightmare I suppose.

What's the use of reminding how much he's gonna earn in Japan on every recent paper about him on PR??

Everyone wants to see the best players in action in international rugby, as one of those the championship would be worse off without him.

That should, of course, say 'international level'. Damn spell check....

SupaC says...

Let him play. He hasn't really been tested at internally level so it would be good to see what he's like against some of the best international teams in the world...
