@ sextons_on_fire - I'll just have to leave you to it, sunshine. You're obviously deranged and need help.

Good luck on your journey and perhaps you'll meet Paul on a road somewhere for a chat...

"My flippancy on this thread was reflecting my opinion" I think that more or less sums up your style of argument hahaha...Even if I do express my points in a flippant way than you've pretty much admitted that you're no better than me. Let's just agree that we're both fallen creatures and work towards atoning for our sins LOL

As for not responding to certain posts, I'm a bit like Jesus in that I like to spread my message once then move on hahahahaaa. The Ferris article was Nazareth, and this one is Jerusalem. Soon I will move on to Galilee i.e. another thread. Some will reject the good word, others will not. That is the price for being the son of BOD heheheh

Jesus thought he was the son of god, which is egocentric & delusional. There have been many man throughout history that have claimed they were the son of god even though there's never been the slightest evidence of a creator. So I would suggest the opposed were right.

Really your argument was a pretty silly one. Does Richie McCaw or Dan Carter go easy on Ireland because they've never lost to them & are worried about injury before the trinations? I do respect Ireland & I think they're a classy team but that was just to give you a relative example.

Injuries coincide with luck just as much as commitment. If you're on a Rugby field your going to run the risk of being injured no matter how hard you play. Some players are just injury prone, doesn't mean they're not world class.

sextons_on_fire, genuine question here. Are you 16?

@ sextons_on_fire - you missed a vital part of the sentence: "...and considering their reasons for their opposing view." I didn't suggest that you change your mind either, just that you review it and consider an opposing point of view. I note you haven't responded to me or any of the other posters on the Ferris thread and have decided to only respond to me on this one. Why is that?

Sometimes the majority IS wrong (I think bringing religion into a rugby debate is stretching it a little, but I'll let you have it as it's all you've got), but sometimes the majority is right. One could argue that the majority is right, the majority of the time...

I still think your argument that Ferris' character is seriously flawed because he puts his body on the line is nonsense. You obviously believe it's sensible and correct. We'll have to agree to disagree.

As for your "hahahaha" 's, I'm not quite with you. I'm hoping you'd understood that my Terminator comment was for effect only and not a real suggestion. I was also hoping you'd be able to debate with better sense than resorting to Jesus and haha's. But I've learned a little about your ability to form and present an argument, so I'll bear that in mind in the future.

"You're welcome to your opinion, but when almost everyone else is in disagreement, it might be worth reviewing it"

You know, that's exactly what they told Jesus hahahahahaaa

@ sextons_on_fire - with regards to Ferris, you suggested that, "he puts his body at risk even against lowly opposition and that's a serious flaw in his character." and I find that a rediculous and nonsensical argument. My flippancy on this thread was reflecting my opinion.

You're welcome to your opinion, but when almost everyone else is in disagreement, it might be worth reviewing it and considering their reasons for their opposing view.

Is that a proper enough argument for you?

Ferris is world class. Speaking as a leinster supporter.

As it proved with even Leinster v the Ospreys, where he went off early, Ross is a huge asset to any team and his absence a huge loss to Ireland...Amazing that he has only a paltry 20 caps for Ireland

Posted 08:56 29th May 2012

sextons_on_fire says...

APV1, The difference between Ross and Ferris is that Ferris is constantly, almost chronically injured. You may recall...perhaps not, haha...that he put himself out for an entire year in 2010 by fracturing his cheek bone during a regular training session. A textbook example of what I'm talking about. Also, absolutely nowhere did I say that Ferris should not play for Ireland just because of his injury record...just making things up now aren't you hahaa...All I said was that he cant be considered a world class player. Have a proper argument, why don't you???

Posted 16:13 28th May 2012

APV1 says...

@ sextons_on_fire - perhaps Ireland should never pick Ross again. After-all, just like Ferris, he's injured himself. And Ireland should only ever consider super-humans who can never get injured. Is The Terminator eligible to play for Ireland? If not, get him over for 3 years and get him on Residency grounds!

3 Key players out now for the SH tests, Bowe, Ross and Ferris...all we can hope for is for some new blood to be tried

Sadly true Melkdave, either way we need to come back from NZ with a few more ideas about our options in this area.
