He'll still be a young man, able to enjoy seeing the world and making plenty of money even if he moves after the next world cup - 31 might be old for test rugby, but not for moving to a Japanese club or enjoying life.

Good man. It must have been very tempting. Most young men -- well, outside Europe, anyway -- would leap at the chance to see more of the world and earn big money while doing so.
