Montpellier became the fourth French club to top their group by beating Exeter Chiefs 32-30 on Saturday.
A late Quentin Doumayrou try saw Montpol break Exeter hearts and reach the quarter-finals.
Exeter had led 30-25 after tries from Luke Arscott and Matt Jess (two) plus 15 points from the boot of Ryan Davis.
Montpellier's Raphael Legarde kicked six penalties and converted a try from Goderzi Shvelidze, before Doumayrou struck and Legarde added the extras to dump the Chiefs out of Europe.

The match between Bourgoin and Newcastle has been rescheduled for 14.00 on Sunday after Saturday's original fixture was postponed due to a frozen pitch at Stade Pierre Rajon.
