Alain Rolland of Ireland will officiate the all-French Heineken Cup final between Clermont and Toulon on May 18.

Rolland, who speaks French fluently, will be assisted by Wayne Barnes of England and fellow Irishman George Clancy.

It is the second time that Rolland, who refereed the 2007 World Cup final, will be taking charge of a Heineken Cup final having taken charge when Wasps defeated Toulouse 27-20 in 2004.

The Challenge Cup final between Leinster and Stade Français on May 17 will be referred by Wales' Nigel Owens, with his compatriots Leighton Hodges and Ian Davies running the touch-lines.
