William Servat has been confirmed as the starting skipper for the French Barbarians while Yannick Jauzion is centre for their game against Japan.
Servat will come out of retirement for the second time this season for the game, it was announced.
The 49 times capped player, who was a member of the side that lost 8-7 to the All Blacks in last year's World Cup final, retired at the end of last season and bowed out on a high note as his club side Toulouse retained the Top 14 French title.
Servat, who is now the Toulouse forwards coach but came to the side's aid once this season when facing a real crisis with their hookers he played against Stade Francais, will be joined by another former international France regular Jauzion.
Others gaining starts are Biarittz lock Erik Lund and Toulouse scrum-half Jean-Marc Doussain.
The French Baa-baas, created in 1977, are made up of players from the French championship and place an emphasis on flowing rugby.
