Benvenuti is potentially world class.
Burton best option yet poor. Italy have good players coming through however the demise of aironi is terrible.
With perugini and lo cicero retiring they have issues at 1 which was their strongest position.
Venditti looks good and Rome is a great away trip

I agree mate, I think Mauro's best days are behind him and shouldn't be in the squad, I don't think he will be playing for Italy much longer but Brunel may have included him just to use his experience in Sergio's absence. I know there are other experienced back-rowers like Zanni ect but I feel that this might have been the thinking behind Brunel's decision.
Having watched many Rabo games this season I feel that Burton is certainly the best option Italy have playing at a high level. I am glad though that young players like Bocchino have been included, as his potential like other young players in the squad is noteworthy.
I hope for three azzurri wins but it will be difficult. Even the USA and Canada are both improving. But they should have too much quality. As for Argentina they are in a rebuilding stage and one may feel that their eyes may be focused on their two tests with France and of course the Rugby Championship.
However, as far as I'm concerned, appointing Brunel was definitely a step in the right direction and I believe that he has the knowledge and wherewithal to bring forward the next generation of Italian rugby players.

True but Mauro Bergamasco shouldn't be on the list. Tours should be the right occasion to test young player. You got then plenty of young flankers that should go in the Americas like Derbyshire, and Cattina.
For the backs, I'd like to see if Venditti got some passing skills to play at 12 and smash defenses with outside Benvenuti. Sgarbi is decent but he got a terrible pass that make Benvenuti useless considering his qualities.
The big "?" still relies on the number 10 jersey. I do believe in Burton but as some said, Tebaldi could be interesting. McLean was pretty woeful and replaced unless he steps up and start running the ball with confidence.
We talk a lot about the fly halves, but completely forgot that we don't have a good fullback at the moment able to make the break.
Is gonna be tough against Argentina, but at least secure 2 wins in North America.

No Canale, Masi, Mirco or Semenzato. Brunel has put the cat amongst the pigeons and gone on from his work in the 6 Nations. Italian rugby needs a guy like him to shake things up!
