Agree with kybone . Put Venditti in the center and see what he can do -it was his natural position in U17-U20

I can't help thinking that maybe Italy have missed atrick by not trying Venditti as a crash ball centre. He may play on the wing for his club but i think he'd be pretty handy at centre with more ball.

Interesting to see Barbieri on the bench....I guess Brunell want him fresh for the Scottish game, He is pretty damn good ball in hand and at the breakdown, I can see him going soon in France or in England.
Good to see Van Zyl back as Melkdave said, he was very good against France.
Sgarbi is the only option Italy have against heavy runners, he is big and strong, and is gonna have a hard day at the office. Canale had so far a so and so season at Clearmont but he still can create something out of the blue.
Venditti was for me more a illusion then a effective powerful runner, kinda a liability in defence unless you run straight at him (111kg of a winger!) .
Semenzato and Burton are my ideal halves since the beginning of the 6N, good to see them from the start. Burton is a much better kicker then Bergamasco.
He just need to play the ball a bit better, and try to give it to Canale.
Masi did downplay and should be replaced by McLean and Toniolatti on the wing.
Wales will anyway demolish italian hopes in the second half (ouch) but I hope some pride will be shown by the Azzurri.

as strong as italy could be i think. Will be tough to break down, Wales to pull away a little towards the end. Dont care about score, just a win will do. Wales always will respect Italy as a tough side (they have beaten us twice) so i expect a pro performance and a win of 10-15 points

Well its a start i would have preffered Mi.Bergamasco to start at 15 myself for the out of form Masi. While keeping Benavenuti at 13 and Venditti at 11. with Canale starting at 12..Itlay need to offer penatration from the midfield and get up quickly in defence against Roberts and Davies.Im also glad that C.VanZyl is back at lock never understood why he was dropped in the first place as he played well against France imo.Even so given this line up id be surprised if Italy win they will be hard to breakdown but i feel Wales have just to much firepower and pace i the end
