But then it all fell to bits... On reflection I feel the Baby Blacks will benifit the most from their loss because it taught them the true value of rugby union set pieces. Its a lesson the All Blacks learnt post 2003 and they won last years RWC off the back of it.

I brought it up because it *is* racism. You're basically saying that anyone not white from England or the British Isles is 'foreign looking'. There isn't any other way that can be interpreted. As for the rest of your post, flipping the bird to a television camera is still a far cry from celebrating a try into one, even if as you're suggesting all they were looking for was the camera. On that subject though, do you similarly deplore all of the cursing that's picked up by the referee's microphone? Perhaps Rory Best should have spent two years out of the game after clearly being heard to call Steve Thompson a 'fat c**t' live on air? I know he's not the only one, but the point is that if your sensibilities are that delicate then you're probably watching the wrong sport. Do you cover your eyes in horror when a bit of handbags happens?

@ lawynd

How decent of you to accuse me of racism. Maybe you could look up the word foreign. I called him foreign because I didn't know his name and because he looks foreign in terms of playing for an English team. Nobody has brought racism into it but you.

If your okay with it, then work away. But I certainly would not be okay with players acting in such a way. There's a fine line between doing a dance after a try, and heading towards the camera to not celebrate but gloat. It certainly is not acceptable in Irish rugby. Jonathan Sexton's younger brother who is a second row had a lot of potential. When Ireland won the FIRA u-18 tournament he gave the camera the finger humorously. He has now not worn an Irish shirt in 2 years and is significantly dropped down the pecking order. You'll also notice the English player behind Sinckler when he scored the try. He immediately looked towards the camera and gave some sort of X sign. I understand that the growth in popularity in rugby has brought new characteristics into the game, such as diving and silly celebrations, and I understand that there are fresh fans who perhaps have a different perspective on what rugby is all about. I'm not going to try and make you conform to my opinion, I'm just letting you know that I think such behavior is immature and disrespectful and I believe it breeds a generation of players who overrate themselves and fizzle out into nothing. You can accept that that's my opinion or continue to dissect my post to find some more racism or prejudice or whatever else satisfies you, but I don't have anything else to say.

@yelloj321 - whilst it was prattish during the anthems (I watched that game and do recall it), you're telling me you expect an 18 or 19 year old to keep a lid on their exuberance and not do anything the least bit silly for an entire game? Also, we're talking about ONE player, not an entire team. As for the 'foreign looking' (racist much?) prop, Kyle Sinckler, you're telling me that celebrating a try is a bad thing? The camera is irrelevant, they're present at most games these days, you're effectively suggesting that celebrating a try is wrong. With that and the casual racism, I can only conclude that you sir are a buffoon.

yelloj321 If you consider that behaviour bad enough to warrant your comments on here then you my friend need to get a life and stop beeing a boring old fart! I don't know where you're from but i've seen loads of examples from all over the world of players dancing, diving, and doing various other exhibitionist kinds of things after scoring tries. I don't mind it as it shows the players have a personality and aren't just robots taught to pass, kick, run, tackle. I think you've just got something against England and you're just trying to carry on the 'naughty england' bandwagon from the World Cup.

NZ to make it into semis, win their semi then play in final and win the final for the 5th time. You read it here first.

Congrats to Wales on a fine win but before the lot of you start handing Bill over to the NH, it was one game in the mud...

I realize that beating any of our teams is a monumental achievement for you but take a deep breath!

@ Lawnyd

@yelloj321 - I'd love it if you could provide some examples of these so-called 'egos' and where there was bad behaviour, because I watched the game and couldn't see anything particularly untoward.

Then you didn't watch the U20 6N match between Ireland and England. The English lock, not George Merrick but the blondish lad, firstly winked and hand pistoled the camera during the national anthem (shows how proud he is to sing his countries anthem...), secondly, his end game celebrations consisted of going up to the camera and saying these words - "Oh yeah baby, can't touch this, you can't see me" to which he proceeded to wave his hands across his face. He continued his poor behavior in this game with a couple of off the ball hits. Looking specifically at the JWC game, the foreign looking prop who scored immediately went to the camera and repeated this silly arrogant behavior. The very fact that he knew exactly where the camera was (behind him to the left) and the fact that it was it his first instinct, shows how egotistical the group of players are. This behavior is not specific to the U20 age group though, senior players like Armitage, Cipriani, Ashton etc are privy to it. Hopefully Lancaster can bring England back to the good old days of Leonard, Wilkinson, Robinson etc. Players who wore the jersey with respect. The players shouldn't be worrying about where the cameras are and what to do in front of them.

Long post I know, but you asked for evidence

@pierredelot1 - It's not so much the NZ aren't used to the rain, it's the fact that the rain & awful pitch conditions are a leveller.

No doubt that Wales deserved that win, I'm a Kiwi & they definately played better but the main reason that the Baby Blacks are so dominant is that their attacking play is on another level & that was basically taken away from them by the condition of the pitch more so than the rain, no traction in that mud.

comparing last year's teams to the 2012 versions is pointless, this year's NZ U-20s can't say 'we' won last year etc as they didn't, I'm not sure if there is one in the 2012 squad from last year? Perenara was eligible but for some reason not chosen, three others are in current AB squad. Same may well apply for Wales - 'they' didn't lose 0-92 last year, another Welsh team did.

@TO ALL

As i posted i saw tboth matches ,and like @Lawnyd i saw nothing untoward or unsportsman like frm England U20s or the Wales U20s .Did the teams celabrate wining you BET .But there wasnt any unsportmanship ,and both teams deserved to celabrate aswell.Wales had just inflicted the 1st defeat on the baby blacks at a JRWC.While England had just been given a huge scare by Ireland ,and fought back to win .So please stop this BS concerning England U20s ect.The only untoward thing thats happened recently is the Cooper-Beale pub brawl, and their Australiains correct

@lawynd I am not using the atrocious pitch as an excuse for the loss as the Welsh fully deserved their win and it would be ungracious to try that. My gripe is the fact all of those teams were asked to play on such an INFERIOR pitch and SARFU should hang their heads in shame for placing the games there. I see they are changing the games to Newlands but alas too late the damage has been done. Those kind of lotteries are not good for the game. Congratulations to the Welsh and yes Lawynd the Baby blacks did implode and had no answer a far cry form other years. Never mind at least we are shipping the failed coach off to Ireland to see if he can have the same embarrassing results for Munster that Dingo deans is producing for Australia. Lol.

@Ramage - the pitch was atrocious and the rain didn't help...but Ireland and England played on the same surface after your game and managed to score tries. I think the Baby Blacks imploded due to the pressure and a lack of a plan-B, plain and simple.

Although these results are very pleasing lets face it any victory over the SH sides is very welcome, but one swallow hardly makes a summer. As usual a fair number of excuses fron NZ but lets face it they're used to rain and there has been many an International in NZ in atrocious conditions. As a guide to the future though it's a non starter. Two or three from each squad will go through to the national side in the near future but the rest will fall by the wayside, either from choosing a less harmful career, a more rewarding career, injury or what have you. Only a small number of games played and a long way to go. it will be interesting to see how the Blacks respond. Great team they may be, but they were pushed by England last year and this proves they're not invincible. Nobody is. Sad to hear thet Englands performance wasn't celebrated in a very sporting manner, as they did the same in the Home nations tournament. Come on Hunter, teach them some manners and respect.

Ok I tried to be gracious but some of you guys are taking it way to far.

We're can lay claim to the best comps for a good reason, SH teams have dominated NH teams for over 100 years, 6 out of 7 WC's & Not one NH side has a superior all-time record against any of the big 3 despite playing more games at home than away. Not 100% sure on that last fact but from memory I think it's true.

There have been a couple of upsets in the rain & now suddenly NH is the best lol don't make me laugh.

Decent chance that Wales possibly (1st) will play NZ possibly (4th) in the semis & if that happens on a good pitch never mind the rain, Wales better look out.

Oh & by the way I have the perfect come back for all those having a laugh at the Baby Blacks, 4 out of 4 titles & that was their 1st ever loss... Do I need to say anymore?

And they are far from out of this one yet.

don't play in the rain in the SH? mught quiet down a few of you 'we're superior' Tri-Nation lovers. Scotland(seniors) and now Ireland, Argentina and lowly little Wales in the JWC have beaten the supposed invincible 'BIG Three' . Well done NH teams (and Argentina), no doubt there will be an inquest.... and scrums, rolling mauls and playing in adverse weather banned by the IRB so this may never happen again....

What happened to the unbeatable baby blacks everyone was talking about.....

They got their arses burn't by the baby dragons. Having watched the game the welsh forwards monstered the kiwi pack, but it was a good hard fought game & they will bounce back. the competition is now really wide open good for the punters to have a bet anyway!!!

The game between Wales and NZ was a lottery brought about by the disgraceful field the teams were asked to play on. Sure there had been rain bur the field at Stellenbosch was well below what is expected in such a prestige tournament and a blight on the SARFU. Congratulations Wales your defence was outstanding.

As an aside I hope Trinuts noticed the dodgy refereeing of Angus Gardner the OZ referee made a terrible blue when penalising the NZ number 8 who was not held in the tackle and thus depriving the only chance of a try in this match. Plus many other decisions not dodgy but plain wrong but par for the course by under performing Aussie referees lol.
