According to reports in the French press, Argentine playmaker Juan MartÃn Hernández will leave Racing-Métro with immediate effect.
Midi Olympique and French journalists tweeted on Wednesday that the 44-Test cap full-back/fly-half would be leaving the Top 14 club, without giving further details.
Media speculation has linked Hernández, who will turn 32 next month, with a return to Parisian rivals Stade Français as a 'medical joker' for injured France full-back Hugo Bonneval.
Racing already have two world-class fly-halves in Jonathan Sexton and Johan Goosen, who arrived at the club on Wednesday.
The former Sharks fly-half is widely expected to head to the southern hemisphere after next year's World Cup to play for the new Argentinean team in Super Rugby.
Hernández is currently with los Pumas in Argentina preparing for the Rugby Championship after the squad recently returned from their training camp in Florida.
