Happy: Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe

Juan Martín Fernández Lobbe has signed a new two-year contract with European champions Toulon to stay until 2016.

Lobbe's contract also includes the option of staying another season beyond his current deal.

The 32-year-old is one of Toulon's longest-serving players, having joined the club in 2009 from Sale Sharks.

Argentina's current captain with 44 Test caps to his name, the blindside is regarded as one of the premier players in his position in the world, and revealed his delight at signing a new deal with Toulon.

"I'm happy at RCT. The club is going in the right direction and I want to be part of this adventure again," said Lobbe.

"It's true that I will have been here five seasons in June. I've had the chance to play five finals (two Top 14, two European Challenge Cup and Heineken Cup). And then I've met great players constantly and that has helped me grow.

"Part of the choice to stay was to do with my family, of course, but more importantly this decision was about rugby! I wanted to continue playing at Toulon and it's also true that my family feels good here, and that's great."
