Give the man his pity cap, it is not like he is worthless he still plays a reasonable good game of rugby better than many that should be enough right? Just give the guys who are better a break from their busy schedules, they are only a few of them and it is not that they would be bothered missing a game against the Babarians.
Or if the Babarians match if valued as important maybe we can award the next Wales B game against the likes of, for example, the USA test status.

@ SkinnyProp - thanks for that. I know Wales gave out caps for their last Baa-Baas match, but I've not heard of any other nations doing it. And it'll be a cracking match.
Does it affect their IRB points?
Ed - any help on this one?

A tad sentimental but as a Welshman who has tickets to the game, it would be great to see and what better way to send him off into retirement than a summer exhibition match!
APV1 - I believe it is the host unions decision whether to award test caps or not. In Woodwards reign with England he used BaaBaa games to tinker with his side and so didn't want caps awarded just in case they lost and it affected any winning streak or win/loss ratio they were striving for.

This really would be a dream come true for Martyn.... and a very special celebration for the whole of Wales. Martyn would no doubt have been happy playing for Wales once.... but this would be the perfect reward for all of the joy that he has brought to Wales supporters and the rugby public at large.

If it's on merit, then fine. But just for a milestone..?
Although... I suppose it's only an exhibition match against the Baa-Baas, so perhaps this presents the perfect opportunity.
[And how come Wales can award an official Cap for a match against the Baa-Baas? Does the result affect their IRB Ranking points? If so, how?]
That said, MW is a legend. Even as an Englishman I've always had a lot of time for him. He's always gone about his business and accepted his lot with quiet and assured dignity, saving us from the current public venting of the Twitterati.
Do we have any room for sentiment in this professional era? Why not in a Baa-Baas match, I suppose?!

The value of a cap was devalued ever since a 60 second appearance gets a cap.
Give him the chance, he selflessly came back after retiring, do this for a number 1 good guy.
