The Leicester medical staff, according to the ESPN pundits, have said that Hawkins may never be able to straighten his arm again, which would effectively end his career. I'm not one for overreacting but if that's the case, Clark should be banned for life and forced to make significant financial restitution.

What a despicable, utterly appaling act of cowardice. Hope this does not affect Hawkins financial future as it has been said he is soon out of contract. Clarke should be banned for a long, long time and only allowed back on permanent parole and sacked by the Saints ASAP. Easily on a parr with stamping on a prone players head or the worst type of gouging. Clark has brought massive shame on himself and the Saints. Hope he never gets near an England shirt of any level again.

I'm glad that Saints have done this. Its appalling to see this sort of thing.
A lengthy ban must be on the cards if found guilty. And from seeing the evidence, I'm pretty sure he will be found guilty.
I'm a Saints fan and know that we can cover the loss of Clarke. For the sake of rugby, this needs positive and firm action.

Just made a comment on the other thread on this topic.
"Until further notice" sounds a bit ominous for him.
There is an argument for the situation being taken out of the RFU's hands if it can be proven that his actions intended the damage done to Hawkins' arm.
Thinking of the Rougerie v Greening legal action. I understand that Hawkins is out of contract at season's end and I can't see many clubs wanting to spend their salary cap on a squad player likely to be out for a long time.

Good for Saints - take a look at this video on youtube -absolutely disgraceful and no need for this thuggery in our beautiful game - ban the idiot for a very long time -at least double the time Rob Hawkins is likely to be out for a start. For that muppet Clark, if you want to practice armbars, give MMA a try and see how it feels.....

Took Saints far too long to reach this conclusion. Seems like the wheels within the RFU turn slowly as it took them until Wednesday to summon Mr Clark but in certain partsd of the east Midlands thehardly move at all !!!
