Western Province head coach Allister Coetzee has announced a strong-looking playing squad ahead of the upcoming 2014 Currie Cup season.

Seven players in the group are still eligible for the WP U21 team - including star wing Cheslin Kolbe - but the likes of Sti Sithole, Jean Kleyn, Jurie van Vuuren, Sikhumbuzo Notshe and Robert du Preez are all uncapped at Currie Cup level.

Injured duo, Steven Kitshoff and Ryno Eksteen, will take no part in the 2014 Currie Cup, but new wing signing William Ambaka Ndayara has been named in the group along with Dillyn Leyds who is set to return to Cape Town from the Force.

Western Province will get their 2014 Currie Cup campaign underway against the Eastern Province Kings in Port Elizabeth on Friday, August 8.
