Blitzbokke speedster Seabelo Senatla is set to make his Currie Cup debut for Western Province in the competition opener next weekend.
That is the word from WP's coach Allister Coetzee, who used Senatla as a replacement in some matches during the latter stages of the Stormers' Super Rugby campaign.
The 21-year-old arrived in Cape Town recently from the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow where he won a gold medal as part of South Africa's Sevens team.
And with Gio Aplon having left the men from the Cape, to further his career at Top 14 outfit Grenoble, Coetzee believes Senatla could start on the wing when his side kick off their Currie Cup campaign in Port Elizabeth against the Eastern Province Kings in Port Elizabeth on August 8.
"His pace is a huge asset and we saw what he is capable of when there's little bit of space," Coetzee told Die Burger.
"He is familiar with our structures after playing for us in Super Rugby, so he'll easily fit into the team with a week's training left before the first game."
