Golden Lions fly-half Elton Jantjies is set to miss the remainder of the Currie Cup season due to an ankle injury.
Jantjies suffered the setback in his side's 31-25 loss to the Sharks in Johannesburg last weekend, and according to the Beeld website, a scan has revealed a Grade 2 tear to the ankle ligaments.
He could return in three or four weeks' time, but is not likely to play any further part in this year's Currie Cup.
Marnitz Boshoff is set to move from full-back to take over at fly-half.
In other injury news, centre Dylan des Fountain's season is also over after he badly injured his knee against the Sharks.
