The Sharks are set to be without the services of lock Marco Wentzel who dislocated his shoulder in last weekend's loss to Western Province in Cape Town.
According to Sharks team doctor Alan Kourie, Wentzel will see a specialist this week to determine the extent of the injury.
Wentzel revealed on Twitter the pain and difficulty he experienced with the dislocation.
"Dislocated my shoulder," he tweeted.
"It took 2h 40min to get it back in #notfun."
The Durban-based outfit were boosted by the news that fellow lock Pieter-Steph du Toit has recovered from injury and could be considered for selection for Saturday's clash against Griquas in Kimberley.
